sick house

So in the last week every single person in my house has gotten horribly sick. I got it Thursday night/ Friday morning when I got home from work. It was the first time I've naturally thrown up since I was in the 8th grade ( I dont count pregnancy or medicine inducing vomit as natural) It was pretty horrible but I stopped throwing up by 3pm but I didn't actually feel better until the next day when I woke up. I was so sore it felt like my heart hurt even though it was just my chest muscles.

I got to see my cousins Kelli and Jeffery for a little while Saturday night after I got off work. I ot to meet Becka for the first time which was fun. I wish Madison would have been awake when they came over because I think they would have had a blast together since they are so close in age. Hanna is little cutie too!

It was Madison's turn Sunday morning when she woke up at 3am puking. She then came out with me to the living room for the rest of the night. I got puked over head to toe. I had her throwing up into a towel. Poor girl... I'm convinced because of watching her that you must learn to throw up because I couldn't get her to throw up into a bowl. If I did anything more than shift her onto her side from her back to help make it so she wouldn't choke on it she got scared and freaked out and didn't know what to do (which is also why I got covered in puke) She finished up at 8am, we took a shower and by 10am she was informing us that she wanted to eat muffins and was fine... I wish I had that kind of bounce back... I didn't start eating until well after 50 hours from the last time I ate Thursday night at work and Sunday I was only eating ramen...

Monday we got a break and Ryan and I went on a date! Its a big deal in our house! We seriously never get to go out because of our schedules. So we dropped Madison off at my Moms and that made me laugh. She used to cry when getting dropped off and this time she just went off and looked for the dog. She didn't look back or cling to my leg or anything. I guess she really likes my moms house! We saw batman which is amazing and ties everything together so nicely. I can't wait until we can buy the three pack on blu ray and enjoy all of the special features. (I'm a special features junkie... seriously... I think its one of the best parts of lord of the rings is the seven discs of special features)

Tuesday was Ryan's turn to get sick.... He actually didn't get to the point of better until today (Thursday) to go back to work. I'm glad he didn't throw up in the car on the drive home because that would have been a horrible mess to clean up!

Its rare that our house is sick never the less this sick... Its also a first that everyone in the house caught the same thing. I also know its not going to be the last time we all get sick from the same thing but if it can take Ryan down with his wolverine immune system you know it was a beasty bug.

Madison is being funny lately. Shes been in love with stuffed animals. She drags mr. monkey around the house and dances with him. But the funnier part of it is that she will bring me shoes to put on her stuffed animals. So if you come to our house there's a good chance that at least one of her stuffed buddies will have a shoe on. Shes such a girl in love with shoes.

Catch up

Yes we have established that I'm the worst blogger known to man since I haven't updated since April but come on cut me some slack! Nap time is considered sacred in my house so I can't blog when it's nap time. (My phone gets put on silent, all the lights go off and we both go down for a nap both pretty close to 11am... well me like ten minutes later because I read my book for a little bit before I die... drastically) When she goes to sleep I go "you know what I should blog when I put her down!" but then once shes in bed I want to hang out with my hubby and watch hells kitchen and masterchef and with the amount of time I get to spend with him I think he's more important than this blog... so that means the only time I get to blog is when shes awake which isn't a simple task since the only reason I'm awake right now is because of caffeine that I drank when I woke up since I only got about three hours of sleep...
At the beginning of May we went to the Valley of Fire! Yes this family has a soft spot in our heart for the Valley of Fire. We both went camping there a lot growing up and that's where Ryan asked me to marry him. We figured that Miss Madison would have a blast there and a Billy Goat we also wanted to go before it got super hot (it was like 115 yesterday) Well it was still hot so we didn't stay very long which made me sad but still. Madison was cute like always. We broke some rules because we fed a chipmunk, he seemed to like the goldfish we were giving him.
on the drive home... Madison was a tad hot lol
WE got blessed with John presence for his birthday (yes it is blessed because he lives in Reno and so he doesn't have time to get off work very often enough for us to see him because lets face the facts: us driving eight hours up to Reno in a car with Madison will never happen... we barely make the three and a hour hour drive to Ely)

This is very much my father... he lives on his flippin cellphone... half the time its extremely annoying but oh well theres not much we can do about his avid texting
the lunch was right at her nap time... so she was a bit tired
this is John and Jenni facetiming. Its rather interesting watching them do it. They have like face making competitions.
Because the two of them were making double chins the whole house got in on it... even Madison
She died so hard so fast the instant we got into the car
We went up to Ely to see Ryans brother Micheal graduate high school. We had a lot of fun for the days we were up there. Madison was in love with the trampoline. I knew she liked them at Thanksgiving but once we got there this time I'm sure if we let her she would have spent the entire time on it. Her Aunt and Uncles were oh so willing to go on there with her.
She was still not sure what to think about her cousin Gunner. She doesn't really interact with other kids so I don't really blame her. She wasn't horrible to him, she did steal his plug a few times. He is such a cutie though!

Micheal was number nine in his graduating class. I don't know if I could fathom having a class size of 89, I think mine was like three hundred and something... It was really nice outside so they just had it on the football field.
why yes she is silly. You can thank her Aunt Sara for sticking the diaper on her head. She didn't take it off so I got a rather cute picture of her
We had a lot of fun at the hotel pool. Yes I am trying to recreate a picture of me when I was younger here. I loved how pruney her feet got.
She also was in love with the pool toy we brought
I loved the fact that we could just open the front door and let her wonder around the front yard. It was beautiful outside, it was like 70 something with a light breeze and when we went up it was 100 and something down here so it was like a breath of fresh air. Yes Thumper travels with us everywhere...

We went to a park by his parents house. She had so much fun playing with Daddy! She does love him alot!

I know... how can you handle the cuteness? They emptied out an ice chest on the lawn and she had so much fun playing in the ice... shes kind of  an ice fiend

June 14th Madison got sick for the first time besides her puking bug that lasted a few hours when she was six months old. Right after I took this picture I took her temperature and she was 103. I took her into the doctor and she said it was most definitely in her throat. (she had horrible breath which is why I made sure to take her in. I mean I know how horrible it is to have your throat get infected) She got swabbed to see if it was strep (which it wasn't) we just laid on the sofa for a few days watching dirty jobs (she wanted to watch it... it made her happy watching Mike Rowe get dirty and she was so pathetic I obliged) she really didn't eat much when she was sick which worried me but her doctor said as long as she was drinking it didn't matter if she ate or not. I'm glad she got better in a few days, it also made me so happy she didn't get sick young, I don't know if I would be able to handle a few month old baby sick... I would be so sad
My brother came down for the 4th of July! He had doctors appointments and such but I'll take a unicorn visit from my brother any day! For any of you who know my dad I figured you get a laugh with this. He was using his shoe as a pillow as he slept in my living room... yes my dad sleeps everywhere.
Madison loves hanging out at my moms. My mom has all these toys we don't have at home like this dolly whos almost as big as her
she was helping Daddy grill the burgers
Alyssa came over for a little while to hang out with John. They were trying to take the perfect picture. Yes she is ridiculously photogenic even when she doesn't realize the stockeratzie is taking pictures
even though I don't like her touching Molly she still does... yes ew but I mean how much longer is that dog going to be around?

perfect action shot of John with the fire crackers... why what would make you think that we are all pyros?
Madison had a lot of fun with the sparklers. She kept trying to touch the sparkly part tho... Daddy was helping her play with them
she took this time to try to run all over the street. She knows this is naughty because she isn't allowed in the street ever. Ryan was on his toes trying to stop her from running down the street
I love how dirty her knees are right here. It shows how hard she was playing
we were setting off firework well after her bedtime of 8pm so she was a bit tired watching them but she liked them. She wasn't a huge fan of the really loud ones but Im sure next year shes going to love it even more!
I make sure I do her hair. I've been doing her hair since she was two years old. I dont get how people don't do their kids hair... trust me its hard to do her hair because she is a crazy beast child. I have to do her hair though because her hair is so long I dont want it in her face.
she likes being on the porch and shut the screen door so we cant go outside. Its very naughty but very cute at the same time
I had the fridge open for a second while cooking, I turned around and found this...
She found a pen and decided to color all over her leg. I actually keep a good track of the pens in the house so this wont happen... but somehow...

she is most definitely a climber... its always freaky when you turn around and find this
she is an avid apple eater. You can give her one and she will eat the entire thing... I'm not sure when they learn to not eat the core but I remember my brother growing up eating everything including the sticker and he was a teenager...

Madison is a big chatter box. Its mostly gibberish but if you know what shes saying then its ok. Shes says
*mommy
*daddy
*dolly
*doggie
(the last three sound a lot alike)
*whats that
(you realllly have to know what shes saying for that... that and its normally comes with finger pointing)
*jump
and more things I cant think of at the moment... but mostly its her own language

She loves to give kisses and hugs... but be warned her kisses involve teeth...

Shes really becoming her own person I love it but it makes me sad at the same time. She isn't a baby anymore shes a toddler... with attitude...
